Global Medicine Review’s guest, Dr. John Boyles, discusses some of the general principles of allergy and allergy treatment. Dr. Boyles talks about biologic inhalants (ie: pollens, dusts, animal danders, mole spores) and how specific allergies are diagnosed by skin testing. There is also discussion of the European experience with allergies – including a specific treatment being used which is called sublingual (administering drops under the tongue to be absorbed into the system). Dr Boyles is one of the foremost physicians in this country in the field of allergy diagnosis and treatment.
