Update on AIDS / HIV controversy

After taking some time to introduce the group leaders for the community diabetes hypertension program Dr Kokayi interviews Dr Roberto Giraldo one of the major architects of the position that HIV is not the cause of AIDS. Dr Giraldo reviews some of the salient points of this position and also looks at the documented role of nutrients in the treatment of AIDS. Rather than arguing about the existence of HIV as the cause of AIDS Dr Giraldo and his colleagues are doing studies to show the role of anti oxidants in raising T cell counts.

 

Andean Cosmology

Dr Kokayi interviews Alex Stark, a Yale trained architect and Peruvian shaman. Alex Stark shares with the listening audience the major themes of Andean cosmology. Cross cultural correspondences are made with other indigenous systems and Mr. Stark shares some of the applications of this Andean world view.

 

The Nations First Naturopathic Cardiologist

This programs features an in depth discussion between Dr Kokayi and Dr Dexter Weiss on issues related to cardiovascular health. Dr Weiss is the nation’s first naturopathic cardiologist and shares his perspective on the misplaced attention on cholesterol. Dr Weiss gives an alternative perspective on the roots of cardiovascular problems citing oxidation and inflammation as being the root causes of heart attacks and strokes. His views on hypertension are also discussed.

 

Traditional African Medicine with Nana Ahor Kakabaah Annaan 1

Dr Kokayi interviews one of the culture carriers from the African continent who has maintained his traditions and brought his cultural healing attributes to these shores and has a Ghanaian healing center in New Jersey. Nana Ahor Kakabaah Annaan 1 is an Akan Priest and healer from West Africa who gave up his accounting career to continue the healing tradition of his ancestors.
