Dr Kokayi and Dr John Salerno of Patients Medical discuss the ins and outs of thyroid diagnosis and treatment. From energetic therapies including yoga to medications and plant medicines Dr Kokayi and Dr Salerno discuss a range of therapies and diagnostic methods. The role of iodine is also discussed as well as adrenal function as it related to supporting the thyroid. Dr Salerno also highlights the TRH stimulation test which is a way to diagnose those cases of hypothyroidism where the thyroid numbers appear in normal range but the patient has many of the symptoms of hypothyroidism.
