Dr. Kokayi interviews fellow practitioner Erin Davis, and instructor Ken Campbell, on the practice of kinesiology as taught by the International College of Applied Kinesiology. Erin Davis practices with Dr Kokayi both in Manhattan and at his Manhasset office and Ken Campbell is a senior faculty member for the College. The practicality and depth of kinesiology is discussed in regards to a study that has been completed in South Hampton, UK, documenting in the strictest scientific controlled format, the efficacy of this system. Moreover this system of kinesiology has been used effectively in a maximum security prison in South Africa with the result that several inmates have been granted the privilege of teaching in minimum security prisons, something totally unheard of. Dr Kokayi also has Erin review her handling of a couple of his patients to emphasize the power of a wellness model of health where you start from the unlimited potential that each client can tap into when trying to realize their health and life goals . Kinesiology programs and sessions that are still open for the fall can be found on internationalcollegeofhealingarts.com.

Green Medicine

Dr. Larry MalerbaGreen Machine book cover
Dr. Kokayi interviews Dr. Larry Malerba on his new book “Green Medicine”. Dr. Malerba is a distinguished practitioner, educator and leader in the field of holistic medicine for more than 20 years. His book “Green Medicine” challenges the assumptions of general health care with regard to the allopathic biochemical approach to healthcare. The approaches of orthodox allopathic medicine and alternative paradigms of healing are compared and contrasted throughout the book and some of this is discussed in the interview. Dr Malerba shares some case histories to highlight the value of other medical paradigms. Dr Malerba’s work clearly helps to establish the role that non allopathic therapies could and should be playing in the general health care of the population.

Healing Cancer from the Inside Out

This is a three hour fundraiser featuring the must see DVD Healing Cancer from the Inside Out and the Rave Diet Lifestyle book. Not only do these fundraiser premiums offer a real critique of current cancer care but they propose both in principle and thru the examples of people who have successfully checked cancer a plant based diet focus as the main approach to healing their cancer problem. The DVD critiques the current methodology of statistical sharing with respect to cancer survival and chemotherapy. It becomes clear that in many instances people are being misinformed. The connection between cancer and animal protein is also established. The Rave Diet Book offers over two hundred plant based recipes to address cancer and overcome a number of chronic diseases. This was the highest earning premium for WBAI’s May fundraiser as of May 26th, 2009.

Total Biology and BioReprogramming

Dr Kokayi has a chance to interview two practitioners in one of the Western world’s most cutting edge medical therapies that delves into the interface between mind and body and the true roots of disease. Dr Kokayi’s guests Mitchell Rabin and Isabelle Benarous share with the listening audience the science and art of Total Biology and Bioreprogramming. The method of Bioreprogramming contains powerful tools to undo personal and ancestral programs at a subconscious level, with acute precision, in order to create lasting solutions and healing of unresolved mental stress at the heart of pathological conditions in the body. As Mitchell Rabin points out the approach to total biology is like “Louis Hayes on steroids”.

Conversation with Dr. Parris Kidd

Dr. Kokayi talks to Dr. Parris Kidd, international recognized nutrition educator, about the connection between the lack of functioning within a cell membrane and how it affects the body.  The conversation moves from environmental toxicity and it’s affects to the autism-add spectrum along with powerful steps to take to lead children who suffer from it to wellness.  With an outlined plan, it is best to have a pen in hand for this one.  You can also read the articles spoken about at Dr. Kidd’s website.

Shamanic Practices

Dr Kokayi has an opportunity to speak with Dr Steven Farmer a shamanic practitioner about his understanding and use of this discipline. Dr Farmer is a retired psychotherapist who has become adept at using the shamanic trance state to employ the help of spirit guides in the healing of others as well as using consciousness altering techniques in soul retrieval to assist individuals experiencing post traumatic stress and other psychological disorders. Dr Farmer’s latest book Earth Magic provides a good overview of the field of shamanic practices and more information about his work can be found at Power Animals

Benefits of Community Acupuncture

Dr Kokayi discusses with acupuncturist Susana Byer a community acupuncture program starting at the Kokayi center. In community acupuncture patients are treated at a fraction of the usual costs in a room where other patients are also being treated. The focus is on systems of acupuncture that rely on using points on exposed surfaces of the body; the ear, hands, and feet. Whole body representations can be found on these an other parts of the body and can be used to treat a variety of problems.

Professions In Health Care

Biofeedback and Cognitive Therapy

Both Dr Kokayi and Faybiene comment on Barack Obama becoming president elect with Dr Kokayi bringing up questions around the depth of change needed, particularly as it relates to health care and what people want and need. The subject of mental health is approached from the standpoint of the Four Pole Model of mechanism, biochemistry, energetics and spirit as the blueprint for understanding all diseases, diagnostic tools and therapy. The spirit/consciousness component of disease and therapy is highlighted with a look at how techniques like cognitive therapy and biofeedback can help people break out of states of mind that are causing and perpetuating disease states whether the resulting problem is called hypertension or anxiety. The guests, Benita Wilson a psychotherapist and biofeedback specialist and Dr Aminah Dean, naturopath and bio energetic healer, both working at the Kokayi Center, dialogue with Dr Kokayi about techniques to address the nonphysical roots of illness.

Mental Health and Brain Neurotransmitters

Its been a couple of years since Dr Kokayi has dialogued with Dr Kellerman about his unique laboratory exam that helps clinicians to figure out exact formulations to balance brain neurochemistry. Dr Kellerman describes the role that excitatory and inhibitory neurotransmitters play in helping us to keep our emotional and behavioral balance. His lab is now able to legally operate in NY and most major medical insurances are accepted. Patients desiring to get off of psychotropic medication can have their progress monitored with this test whereupon custom blends of amino acid formulations can be taken to restore balance to the nervous system. Dr Kokayi has performed over one hundred of these tests which he has used to assist him in the treatment of such problems as anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, and obsessive compulsive disorder.
