Breast Cancer Commentary and Cancer Treatments


Dr Kokayi focuses on Breast cancer with the understanding that the central issue in dealing with prevention and in many cases treatment is estrogen dominance. He looks at the different ways woman get into an estrogen dominant situation; from nutrient deficiencies to xenohormones, estrogens in the environment. With his guest Dr Anne Jeffres they discuss the role Chinese medicine can play in the treatment and prevention of breast cancer, looking at different diagnostic patterns that can lead to breast cancer and how to treat them with acupuncture and Chinese herbs.

Dr Kokayi speaks with Dr Heather Pearman about an applied kinesiologic diagnostic system called contact reflex analysis. Through kinesiology Dr Pearman is able to determine hidden causes for a wide variety of problems. Dr Pearman presents a number of cases that she has helped by using kinesiology to look for hidden causes and to prescribe the kind of supplements and diet specifically needed by these individuals. Kinesiology allows practitioners to tap into the energetics of the body unveiling appreciable patterns that lead to a deeper understanding of the problem and possible treatment solutions.

From what started as a simple newsletter to what Dr Kokayi has described as the most impressive periodical for both the lay and professional public who wish to take a good look at the full scope of alternative and complementary therapies and their usage in specific disease states, The Townsend letter always has something of interest. The Townsend letter comes out ten times a year and has regular columnists who address diagnostic, therapeutic, and disease focused topics.

 

The Truth About Coconut

This is a rebroadcast of a program from a few years ago with Bruce Fife, the author of Coconut Cures. Mr. Fife dispels the erroneous information concerning coconut oil as a harmful fat. He points out that the oils of tropical plants like the coconut and palm tree can handle higher temperatures when cooking without denaturing . Much of the discrediting of coconut comes from the venders of polyunsaturated fats. Coconut oil can be helpful to the heart and many other organs. Its uses among indigenous peoples are also highlighted.

 

Quantum Diagnostics and Vibrational Medicine

This program focuses on how one practitioner utilizes non conventional methods in her naturopathic practice that allow her to diagnose and treat without a focus on blood work or physical exam. While these are things that she uses in her practice her main diagnostic tool belongs to a class of instruments that measures “vibrational “ energy of a patient to arrive at an understanding of the pattern of imbalance and then guides the practitioner in the selection of vibrational and biochemical therapies. The guest, Dr Tarryn Tranquility Foster, found that her interaction with patients constantly brought her back to issues that speak to the spiritual nature of people. Her unique way of approaching medicine allows her to access this medium. In approaching this topic Dr Kokayi also shares a some aspects of his practice and his development as a practitioner.

 

Hypnosis: A Bridge between Consciousness and the Biomedical Model

In light of many cultures around the world that use mind altering techniques in their healing traditions and ceremonies, and the fact that modern physics is proving the points of ancient cultural systems as it relates to the nature of reality and consciousness, hypnosis is explored with an internationally known expert, Dr Tim Brunson. The role of consciousness is being more fully explored in medicine and hypnosis is seen as one possible way to alter the biochemistry of a person down to the gene level. Indeed if the universe is ultimately a mental creation then hypnosis has a very important part to play.

 

Crystal Healing and Naturopathy with Dr Aminah Dean

This program focuses on the work of a very talented naturopathic physician and healer, Dr Aminah Dean. She has cultivated natural gifts which allow her to detect aberrations in peoples’ energy fields. She describes herself as an empath and through the use of crystals she is able to help restore people to health. The energy work she does is very palpable and an example of cellulitis clearing with this work is sited.

 

Supplementing traditional Medicine with Alternative Medicine – Dr. Siddharth Ashvin Shah

 Dr. Shah has completed advanced training in integrative medicine and mind body techniques and worked with Dr Kokayi for a period of time at the Olive Leaf.  Dr Shah discusses how culture affects the way people approach medicine. Also discussed are ways that Dr. Kokayi and Dr. Shah supplement orthodox medicine with alternative measures, such as breath work and hypnosis.
