The Truth About Coconut

This is a rebroadcast of a program from a few years ago with Bruce Fife, the author of Coconut Cures. Mr. Fife dispels the erroneous information concerning coconut oil as a harmful fat. He points out that the oils of tropical plants like the coconut and palm tree can handle higher temperatures when cooking without denaturing . Much of the discrediting of coconut comes from the venders of polyunsaturated fats. Coconut oil can be helpful to the heart and many other organs. Dr Weiss gives an alternative perspective on the roots of cardiovascular problems citing oxidation and inflammation as being the root causes of heart attacks and strokes. His views on hypertension are also discussed.
