Both Dr Kokayi and Faybiene comment on Barack Obama becoming president elect with Dr Kokayi bringing up questions around the depth of change needed, particularly as it relates to health care and what people want and need. The subject of mental health is approached from the standpoint of the Four Pole Model of mechanism, biochemistry, energetics and spirit as the blueprint for understanding all diseases, diagnostic tools and therapy. The spirit/consciousness component of disease and therapy is highlighted with a look at how techniques like cognitive therapy and biofeedback can help people break out of states of mind that are causing and perpetuating disease states whether the resulting problem is called hypertension or anxiety. Its been a couple of years since Dr Kokayi has dialogued with Dr Kellerman about his unique laboratory exam that helps clinicians to figure out exact formulations to balance brain neurochemistry. Dr Kokayi speaks with Dr Heather Pearman about an applied kinesiologic diagnostic system called contact reflex analysis. Through kinesiology Dr Pearman is able to determine hidden causes for a wide variety of problems. Dr Pearman presents a number of cases that she has helped by using kinesiology to look for hidden causes and to prescribe the kind of supplements and diet specifically needed by these individuals. Kinesiology allows practitioners to tap into the energetics of the body unveiling appreciable patterns that lead to a deeper understanding of the problem and possible treatment solutions.

Dr Kokayi explores the field of midwifery and how its being impacted by the medical establishment. The legacy of black midwives is discussed with his three guest midwives along with the fact that the field is changing, becoming more academic and less hands on. Dr Kokayi points out that the US has a higher infant mortality rate than Cuba and how the nature of a holistic intake and care helps to lower this. Along with their discussion is the reference to the Black midwifery conference “Reclaiming the Wise Woman Withinâ€, occurring a few days after this radio appearance.

Dr Kokayi looks at the state of NYC school lunches and the impact this has on children, especially those suffering with allergens. Joining him is the author of Food to Some and Poison to Others, Terry Traub, R.D.H. B.S. Her book looks at ways to diagnose food allergies using elimination diets that revolve around restricted food menus of healthy, delicious foods. Also in this program is a brief discussion with a representative from the New York Coalition for Healthy School Lunches. The desire for our children to have health meals served to them is an issue that has been taking up by many groups and organizations. Some of these sites are shared.
